Exchange Grants

Deutsche Leberstiftung Stipedium

The Deutsche Leberstiftung (German Liver Foundation) awards grants to support scientific exchange between research facilities in the field of hepatology.

These grants may be used by applicants to undertake clinical or basic scientific research at other research institutions for a limited period of time. The maximum funding period is six months.

A grant includes funding for travel expenses, local accommodation and, if required, consumables at the host institution. Purely educational projects and trips to conventions are excluded from funding.

The maximum amount of funding for a grant recipient is € 5,000. The grant is non-transferable and must be used for the project stated by the applicant and the stay at the stated research institution.

Grant applications are made to the German Liver Foundation. The applications will be reviewed by an independent committee of experts. Its members are: Prof. Dr. Sandra Ciesek, Essen, Prof. Dr. Mathias Heikenwälder, Heidelberg und Prof. Dr. Robert Thimme, Freiburg.

The application deadline was February 28th, 2018. The application form for the next application round will be available shortly.

The grant recipients will be announced at the 15th HepNet Symposium (June 29th to 30th, 2018).
