Guidelines

The Deutsche Leberstiftung (German Liver Foundation) awards a prize for a publication or an abstract in the field of hepatology. The prize is endowed by Norgine GmbH, one of its partners.

The prize is awarded once a year for an outstanding paper in the field of hepatology, dealing with basic principles, pharmacology, or clinical work.

This year's prize will be presented at the 15th HepNet Symposium (June 29th to 30th, 2018). The prize money is 7,500 Euro.

Requirements

The prize-winning paper must meet the following requirements:
• The paper (full publication or abstract) must have been published or accepted for publication between March 1st, 2017 and March 1st, 2018 (in print or online).
• The award-winning paper must have been accomplished in Germany. The lead author should live in Germany (exception: study visit abroad).

The "Application form" as well as the form "Proposal for a paper" for the next application round will be available shortly.


Submission deadline


The deadline for submitting applications and proposals was March 15th, 2018.


Evaluation

The paper will be reviewed by an independent committee of experts. Its members are: Prof Dr Hartmut Schmidt, Münster; Prof Dr Herbert Tilg, Innsbruck; Prof Dr Christian Trautwein, Aachen
